How to Engineer a Human

This is a FREE event, designed to inspire young people's interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic (STEM) activities to learn more about what it would be like to attain a career in this innovative sector.

This event highlights a variety of roles and opportunities in a number of pioneering medical technology companies based in and around Leeds. The event will promote learning pathways through college, university and apprenticeships in order for the engineering stars of tomorrow, to progress in this vibrant sector in Yorkshire.

This is an up-and-coming area of technology and engineering; working from concept, through development of innovative ideas, creating solutions for the healthcare industries.

Featuring interactive sessions in medical engineering, including demonstrations, presentations and classroom based workshops to offer students practical experience in the world of Medical Technologies and STEM industries.

Companies such as DePuy (part of Johnson + Johnson), among others, will be displaying some of their fascinating products including operating theatre technologies, post mortem products, wound management and prosthetics (bionic limbs).
