Student Profile - Sophie Skinner
I left school in 2010 with four A-levels to work full time but then moved from Glasgow to West Yorkshire where I continued to work until 2013. I decided to do a university course as I was tired of doing minimum wage jobs and getting nowhere and also at work as I wasn’t sufficiently challenged. I chose a course that would interest me and open up my career prospects and the Foundation Degree in Digital Media and Marketing course seemed well balanced and would prepare me for a job in the digital marketing sector. A job in digital media and marketing will allow me to be creative but use my brain to solve problems. Starting this course was one of the best decisions I have made and I finally feel like my life is going somewhere. Once I have graduated I would like to work in a design company for a couple of years and set up my own company once I have some work based experience.
