HE Additional Learning Support
Accessing Additional Learning Support at Leeds City College University Centre
Leeds City College University Centre welcomes all students with disabilities and learning difficulties and we want all students to achieve their potential.
The University Centre has dedicated support staff to help students get the most out of their studies and their time here. Students with specific learning difficulties (such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, etc.), long-term physical disabilities, sensory impairments or mental health difficulties, (e.g. depression anxiety, etc.), can arrange to discuss their needs and difficulties with a member of staff who will work with them to determine what support might be available. If appropriate, they will work with the student to help them apply for Disabled Student’s Allowance, (DSA), which could provide one-to-one study skills support, mentoring and assistive technology.
If you are a student and think you have difficulties which will affect your studies, talk to your tutors and the college support staff and find out what support is available – the sooner the better.
