Skills for Work, Independence and Learning for Life

The College

At Technology Campus the learners are preparing for work and do either an internal or external placement depending on the course they are doing. The internal placements involve working in retail, gardening or café/ kitchen and all placements have an admin role included. External placements include, for example, working in different retail environments, garden centre, riding stables and hairdressers.

Enterprise Festival in Trinity Leeds

This was a whole college event and all departments completed different activities. Our department had a stall selling different craft items and plants the learners had made. It was very successful and the stall made more money than events in previous years. All the learners volunteered to work on a day they weren’t normally in college, which demonstrated their work ethic and commitment.
