Financial support at Leeds City College

Leeds City College understands that financial barriers can prevent students reaching their potential in education. We strive to remove these barriers by offering our students the support they need.

Should you meet certain criteria, you may qualify for support with travel, meals, childcare and the cost of equipment, kit, residential and educational visits.

How do I apply?

Once you are enrolled, you will be sent an email with a link to the online Student Financial Support Fund application form. Click on the link and apply immediately, otherwise once you have access to the student intranet, click here to apply. Evidence of household income must be brought to enrolment so that your application can be assessed by a member of staff from your curriculum area. The deadline for students starting their courses in September is Friday 25 October.

  • Students have the right to appeal a decision. This must be in writing to the Student Funds Manager within 21 days of receiving confirmation of an award or a rejection.
  • The letter should set out the reasons for the appeal plus any further evidence to support the appeal.
  • The decision of the Student Funds Manager will be given in writing within 14 days.
