The Welfare and Financial Support team provide information and advice on a variety of welfare and financial support issues including the following:-
- Student financial help at College
- Care to Learn and Childcare issues
- Budgeting and money management
- Referral to internal and external services, e.g. Citizen’s Advice Bureau (CAB), Housing, Step change, debt advice.
Our Advisers offer drop in sessions and appointments and help students to make informed financial decisions.
Financial support at Leeds City College
Various financial support funds are available to assist you with course-related costs to overcome barriers, which may prevent you from taking part in or continuing in learning. Course related costs include, travel pass, books, equipment, visits, childcare, college meals, and materials, dependent upon individual circumstances. All applications are assessed on individual bases.

How do I apply?
Download the application form from the college website or ask your tutor for a copy. Evidence of household income must be brought in with the application form, e.g. benefit award notices, etc (the form states exactly what you need to show us). Remember to complete the form fully and show us the evidence we ask for in order to process your application quickly. Completed applications can be returned to your coaching tutor or School Administration team.
