Support with Childcare cost

If you are aged over 20 and wish to start or continue in learning, you may be eligible to receive help with childcare costs. 

How to apply for  support with childcare costs for those who are aged over 20 at the start of their college course.

  • Download a copy of the 2017/2018 Childcare Application Form here.
  • Ensure that the Childcare provide that you are going to be using is registered with Leeds City College.
  • Return the completed application form as well as the required evidence as early possible.

How to apply for support with childcare costs for those who are aged under 20 at the start of their college course. 

If you are aged under 20, you may be eligible for help under the government’s Care to Learn scheme which pays for childcare with an Ofsted-registered provider while you are at college up to a maximum of £160 per week each child. Visit the Care to Learn website to apply ( or speak to our Childcare Advice Officer for further guidance.  

Childcare Providers

Leeds City College works in partnership with Ofsted registered childcare providers to help student parents with childcare costs/ places to overcome barriers, which may prevent them from taking part in or continuing in learning. 

We ask Childcare providers who wish to work Leeds City College to register with us. The Childcare Provider Registration Form and Service Agreement can be download here
