Our students can access high-quality activities open to everyone, regardless of age, ability or location of study. Many of the activities are even delivered free of charge. They are delivered across all campuses using college and community facilities by the Get Active team and qualified coaches and instructors.
New activities and opportunities will be introduced throughout the academic year. To keep up to date with everything that is going on please visit our Facebook page and our Twitter!
Leeds City College volunteers give their time willingly to make a positive impact to the college or to the wider community. Volunteering is a fantastic way to build your skills and experience and have a positive impact in your local community. As a volunteer, you’ll be able to work towards a Leeds City College Volunteering Certificate, which will demonstrate your commitment. The Get Active Team provide students with various opportunities to volunteer their time supporting and assisting the delivery of the sports programme, promoting college activities and supporting external visits.
The Get Active team can offer general support to students, in particularly through the Active Body, Active Mind programme, by listening and signposting them to other support services if necessary.
