Printworks Kitchen & Bar wins ‘best café’ award

14th March 2019

Printworks Kitchen & Bar has won the ‘best café’ accolade at this year’s Yorkshire Evening Post Restaurant Oliver Awards.

The Leeds City College establishment, which was opened in 2017, beat stiff competition from respected cafés such as Laynes Espresso, Hepworth’s Deli & Kitchen, Gron Kafe and Café 164.

The awards ceremony, now in its 11th year, was presented by Look North’s Harry Gration and celebrated the best of local dining and brewery industries.

Elaine Chambers, Retail Operations Manager, said: “We’re honoured to have been recognised amongst some of the finest eateries in the region.

“We’re always developing our menu to offer exceptional dishes, drinks and food from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.

“This award is testament to the staff’s culinary innovation and providing first class customer service.

“Our themed nights are becoming more popular and we’ve added an exquisite afternoon tea to our repertoire. Our main passion, however, centres on working with apprentices to nurture the upcoming talent of chefs, baristas and waiting staff.

“We have also collaborated with Printworks Salon & Spa, to offer a full indulgent experience of food and pampering packages.”

Printworks Kitchen & Bar’s restaurant is complemented by the deli, which provides fresh artisan food throughout the day and a spirit and wine bar, serving a selection of local and national alcoholic beverages, including award-winning wines.
