Luminate Education Group Marketing nominated for team of the year at Heist Awards
The Luminate Education Group Marketing team has been shortlisted for Marketing Team of the Year by this year’s Heist Awards.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the awards showcase innovation and excellence within the education marketing industry.
The in-house agency, which has more than 30 communications and marketing experts, provides marketing services for its group members: Leeds City College, Leeds Sixth Form College, University Centre Leeds, Keighley College and Harrogate College.

“We have grown a team that is respected across the sector as original thinkers that put innovation at the heart of everything they do. The team has grown tremendously over the past 18 months, leading the way in ground-breaking youth engagement campaigns and transforming traditional FE education.”
The marketing team began work on the further education recruitment campaign for Leeds City College in spring 2019. This campaign included a bespoke typeface and lifestyle photography to represent the individuality and energy of the college and its students. The campaign included outdoor advertising, internal communications, digital campaigns, a bespoke video, prospectus and a new audio brand, scripted and produced in collaboration with local creatives and brand partners.
The cross-functional team provides a full marketing service for its group members, including insight and market research, evidence-led strategy, graphic and motion design, external and internal communications, events management, website development and social media management.
Luminate Education Group Marketing has grown the 16 to 19 student enrolments by 10.60% between 18/19 and 19/20, contributing to 20.55% overall growth since 17/18.
