Extra hours for police special

4th May 2020

Josh Brayshaw, former public services student, is now working as a special constable at West Yorkshire Police. During this pandemic, he’s been dedicating additional hours to support his team and the community.

Josh said: “It’s incredibly important to be present within the community so I can answer any queries or concerns the public may have. As part of lockdown, we have to engage, explain, encourage and, as a last resort, enforce the ‘stay home’ policy. We hope all the effort we’re putting in can make a difference and help keep people safe.”

During his course at Leeds City College, he focused on employee engagement with West Yorkshire Police and completed a variety of units including planning major incidents, law and fitness.
