Councillor Debra Coupar said “The Compassionate City Awards are held to recognise and celebrate the important and positive work many individuals and organisations are doing to make their local communities a better place.”

The Jo Cox award celebrates an individual or organisation who have gone above and beyond to unite and bring different communities together, supported newer communities to feel welcome into their communities and championed specific issues which help to create more cohesive and integrated communities.
