Aimed at food handlers, or those responsible for managing food handlers, this course will provide you with an awareness of the legal responsibilities and controls in relation to the 14 regulated allergens. You will study symptoms of allergic reactions, food labelling requirements, intolerances, allergens legislation, managing allergens and more.This course is accredited by Allergy UK and meets all entry requirements for recognition on the Allergy Aware Scheme. Progression may include other food qualifications such as Food Safety in Manufacturing Level 2, Food Safety Level 2 or Food Safety Level 3.

Food Safety in Manufacturing Highfield Award Level 2 – £75
This course is aimed at anyone currently working in (or who is interested in working in) a food manufacturing environment. You will study microbiological hazards, food safety, food poisoning and its control, contamination hazards, food pest control, personal hygiene, food safety as well as Hazard and Critical Control Point principles.Progression from this course could include workplace opportunities such as stepping into a senior position. Alternatively, progression may include other food courses such as Introduction to Allergens, Food Safety Level 2 or Food Safety Level 3.

Food Safety Highfield Award Level 2 – £75
Public confidence in relation to food safety is a major concern for any business in the food sector. This food safety programme is aimed at anyone working in the food industry and will help you understand your role in maintaining food safety. You will study contamination hazards, food positioning, microbiological hazards, food pest control, disinfection and more.Progression from this course may include applying the skills and knowledge from this course to daily work. Alternatively, progression may include other food courses such as Introduction to Allergens, Food Safety in Manufacturing Level 2 or Food Safety Level 3.

Food Safety Highfield Award Level 3 – £125
This Level 3 course meets all legal requirements for supervisors within a food business and is particularly useful for those who directly manage and train other staff. You will explore a range of food-related topics such as pest control, food poisoning, design of food premises and equipment, supervisory management, food safety legislation and more.Progression may include implementing the new processes to improve the food safety of your workplace. Alternatively, progression may include other food courses and CPD such as Introduction to Allergens, Anaphylaxis and Autoinjectors or Personal Licence Holders.

Health and Safety Highfield Award Level 2 – £75
The modules on this programme cover the key knowledge required to achieve a recognised Level 2 health and safety qualification. Please note, to achieve a regulated qualification you must sit an assessment with a recognised training provider. You will study accidents, risk assessments, legal responsibilities, hazardous substances, first aid, fire and more.Progression may involve sitting the assessment to gain a recognised qualification. Additionally, progression may include other health and safety qualifications and CPD training such as Fire Safety Level 2, Manual Handling and Asbestos Awareness.

Health and Safety Highfield Award Level 3 – £125

Fire Safety Highfield Award Level 2 – £75

Personal Licence Holders Highfield Award Level 2 – £75
If you are looking to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol by retail on licensed premises, you must hold a personal licence. This course is designed for anyone who is looking for an awareness of personal licensing or wishes to progress to the Personal Licence Holders RQF Award Level 2. You will study licensing law, personal and premises licences and more.Progression may include gaining the Personal Licence Holders RQF qualification to gain your Personal Licence. Infection Prevention and Control + new COVID-19 module – £20
This training will help you and understand how to prevent and control infection and why it is important to do so. You will explore how infections occur, risk factors that increase vulnerability to infections and preventative measures to avoid infections. You will also understand risk-reducing procedures as well as legal requirements and responsibilities.Progression may include other relevant CPD training such as Anaphylaxis and Autoinjectors, Introduction to Fire Safety in the Workplace, Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness, Safeguarding Children and COSHH Risk Assessment.

Anaphylaxis and Autoinjectors – £20
Anaphylaxis is an extreme and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction which can be quickly relieved with an autoinjector while awaiting emergency medical attention. This course outlines how anaphylaxis can be caused by allergens. You will learn how to recognise the symptoms of anaphylaxis and how to treat someone suffering from it.By the end of this training, you will be able to identify and treat anaphylaxis. Progression may include other health and safety CPD training such as Infection Prevention and Control + New COVID-19 Module, Safeguarding Children, and Stress Management.

Introduction to Fire Safety in the Workplace – £20
This short course is designed to help you understand the risks of fire and the steps that can be taken to mitigate the risk of it. It will provide the knowledge required to prevent fire and protect people from harm. You will study the fire triangle, how fire starts and spreads, risk assessments, legal obligations, employees’ responsibilities and more.By the end of this training, you will understand your role and responsibilities in relation to fire safety. Progression may include other relevant health and safety CPD training such as Infection Prevention and Control + New Covid-19 Module and Safeguarding Children.

Manual Handling – £25
This course offers a comprehensive guide to best practice in terms of manual handling. It is ideal as part of a staff induction, refresher training for existing staff or as an introductory course for those who are seeking an accredited manual handling qualification. You will explore safe and correct lifting techniques and examples of manual handling.Upon completion, you will have developed your understanding of how to lift items safely and correctly. Progression may include other relevant health and safety qualifications and CPD including Health and Safety Level 2, Fire Safety Level 2 and Emergency First Aid at Work.

Asbestos Awareness – £25
This course is for anyone who could disturb asbestos while carrying out their daily work. It will allow you to understand what asbestos is and how to work safely without risk. You will develop knowledge of where asbestos can be found, the dangers of it and how to protect yourself and others from accidental exposure.Upon completion of this course, you will know how to work safely to mitigate the risk of asbestos. Progression may include other health and safety qualifications and CPD including Health & Safety Level 2, Fire Safety Level 2 and Emergency First Aid at Work.

Safeguarding Children – £25
Child protection and safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone in that setting. This course introduces the roles, responsibilities and rights when safeguarding children. You will learn to recognise indicators of child abuse, identify the impact of a parent or carer’s health on a child, understand children’s rights and outline the basic principles of safeguarding legislation.Upon completion you will have developed your understanding of safeguarding children. Progression may include other CPD courses such as Anaphylaxis and Autoinjectors, Stress Management and Infection Prevent and Control + New COVID-19 Module.

COSHH Risk Assessment – £25
This course will provide you with the detailed knowledge needed to undertake a Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) risk assessment and to understand different hazardous substances and how they harm the body. You will study the importance of COSHH risk assessments and how to control risks from hazardous substances.By the end of this qualification, you will be able to efficiently carry out a COSHH Risk Assessment.
