What engineering courses are available at Leeds City College?
We offer a wide selection of engineering courses including: Introduction to Engineering, Engineering Technology, Electrical Installation (Building & Structures), Engineering Academic Route, Engineering (Mechanical & Electrical), Fabrication and Welding Engineering Technology, and Engineering.
What are the progression routes from these courses?
Progression routes are available from Level 1 to Level 3 within the School of Engineering. University Centre Leeds also offers HNCs and HNDs in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering as a further progression route for Level 3 students.
Does my child need to wear steel toe capped boots?
For practical lessons all students from the School of Engineering will need to have safety boots and coveralls which they will need to purchase themselves, any other relevant equipment will be provided.
Does the college offer any financial support for students?
Yes, students can apply for the college bursary which can pay for travel passes, college meals and trips. Students with children can also gain support with childcare to support their studies.
