This qualification is aimed at practising or aspiring managers who are typically accountable to a senior manager, director, or business owner. Their current role might, for example, include developing individuals and teams, creating operational and marketing plans, managing projects, HR management, or managing resources. The qualification has been designed for managers currently working in roles such as: Operations Manager, Divisional Manager, Departmental Manager, Regional Manager, or a manager working in a specialist area such as Marketing, HR, Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Information Technology.

This course is delivered at Printworks Campus.

Entry requirements

No formal qualifications are required, but candidates are expected to have had at least two years’ junior management experience and to be currently (or recently) working in a management role. Candidates must also demonstrate excellent written and communication skills, plus the ability to understand and apply business models and theories to practical work situations. It would be advantageous if candidates already held a management or business-related qualification at level 2 or level 3.

What's next

On successful completion of a Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership it is possible to continue studies to achieve the Extended Diploma level or to progress to qualifications at the next level – Level 7.
