You will develop an understanding of photography and graphic design with some traditional art and design techniques giving you progression opportunities at Level 3 in our Photography, Graphic Design, Art & Design and Creative Media courses.
The course is assessed by a variety of methods including: projects, assignments, presentations and coursework.
You will be given assignments for the units which will be assessed during a controlled assessment period. Your tutors will assess your work on a regular basis through classroom formative assessment of sketchbooks and ideas. A final mark, pass/merit/distinction, will be awarded on the completion of each unit.
From September 2019 Creative Arts courses will be delivered at our new campus at Quarry Hill.
Students will need to have passed at least four GCSEs at grade 3 (equivalent of a Grade D), including English.
Upon successful application, you will be invited to an interview. You will be asked to bring some previous work which demonstrates your experience and interest in photography or Graphic Design.
The Level 2 Diploma in Graphic Design and Photography is designed to give students a wide range of experience in the graphic design and photography fields. Successful students will be able to progress onto higher level courses, specialising in Graphic Design, Photography, Art & Design or Creative Media.
