The dance team work with each student individually and as a collective to enhance existing skills and develop new skills to allow each student to become a versatile dancer.

One of the benefits of our course is the industry professionals we work with throughout your course. We have previously worked with the following:

  • Phoenix Dance Theatre
  • Matthew Bourne's New Adventures
  • Northern School of Contemporary Dance
  • Northern Ballet
  • ZooNation
  • RJC Dance
  • DAZL
  • Hunslet Club

Our students have the opportunity to develop their skills even further in enrichment activities. This includes Explosive, EnChoir and Circus Arts. Students also have access to a free gym and other fitness classes that run alongside their main study programme.

Our dance students will also take part in work experience which could include leading dance companies and organisations within the local area.

How you will be assessed

This Level 3 qualification is assessed via a combination of internal assessment, where tasks are set and marked by your tutors, and external assessment where tasks are set by BTEC and your response to them is marked by BTEC examiners.

Where is the course delivered (facilities / classrooms)

From September 2019 Creative Arts courses will be delivered at our new campus at Quarry Hill.
