You will develop a wide range of IT skills and knowledge to help further your studies. This course involves a broad range of units from working with a wide range of practical skills and knowledge that will equip you for a future in the computing industry.
As well as IT skills you will develop your confidence, study-skills and communication skills.
There are 2 units that will be assessed by online tests that you must pass.
There are a further 6 units that will be assessed by completing assignment work and practical tasks - these will be graded Pass, Merit or Distinction.
Support and guidance will be given by your tutor and the Computer Science department.
Entry requirements for this course are a minimum of four GCSEs at Grade 3 (D) or above including English and maths, or equivalent qualifications.
Students should have a genuine interest in Digital & IT and a commitment to complete homework and independent study by agreed deadlines.
On successful completion of this course and passing English and maths you may progress to one of our level 3 advanced courses or apply for an IT Apprenticeship.
Alternatively you could seek employment with your new skills.
