You will be assessed continually by assignments and practical activities, including presentations, and project work. These are externally moderated by the examination body.

Entry requirements

The entry requirements for this course are a minimum of four GCSE grade 2s.   

Students should also have:

  • A genuine interest in IT
  • A commitment to complete homework and project work on time
  • The ability to communicate and demonstrate socially acceptable behaviour in college
  • Literacy skills at GCSE grade 2 or above.

Please note, as part of this course if you have not achieved GCSE grade 4/5 in English and maths this will be embedded into your curriculum. 

What's next

Successful completion of this course will lead to the award of a Level 1 Diploma in Computer Science.

If you successfully pass all the qualifications then you have the opportunity to progress on to a level 1 qualification at Leeds City College.
