You'll cover the following:
- Customer service
- Serving food and drink
- Healthy eating
- Using kitchen equipment
- Basic food preparation.
- This qualification gives you greater flexibility when studying and allows you to transfer credits across qualifications. You will be awarded credits for each course you complete.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to increase your confidence through our onsite work placements and showcasing in our Student Shop at Printworks Campus.
You will be assessed throughout the year on written assignments as well as undertaking regular practical sessions.
No formal qualifications or experience is required. Motivation and interest in the catering and hospitality industry is essential. Each applicant will go through an interview before being enrolled. A good understanding of written and spoken English is favourable.
Progression from this qualification may include a relevant level one qualification.
