This course will give you an insight into the skills and knowledge required for the job roles of both Air Cabin Crew & Ground Operations to prepare you in a role as air cabin crew or as a member of the ground staff team working on the ground at the airport. 

As part of the programme you will also have links with Leeds Bradford and Manchester Airport. This will give you an insight into the aviation industry. To encourage a high standard of professionalism, students will be expected to wear our designated uniform throughout the course and uphold the grooming regulations of the course. Details will be provided at interview.

How you will be assessed

The course is assessed by a range of methods including assignment work and scenario based role plays. Your progress will be monitored by regular tutorials with your course tutor.

Entry requirements

You must be 16+ and have 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 (C) or equivalent and/or interview. The Aviation industry requires GCSE grades 4 or above in English and maths. An interview would be required to assess your suitability for the course. Please be aware to obtain an airside pass to enable you to work at an airport all aviation organisations will require you to complete a criminal record check. You must also possess a valid passport.

What's next

On successful completion of this course and with the agreement of course tutors learners have the option to progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Aviation Operations course.

Note: The Level 3 Diploma in Aviation Course is a fast track course and completes in March in line with industry recruitment. Alternatively, you can move into relevant employment or progress onto a Higher Education Course.
