This course will give you an insight into the skills and knowledge required for the job roles of both Air Cabin Crew & Ground Operations to prepare you in a role as Air Cabin Crew or as a member of the ground staff team on the ground at the airport. Enrolment on this course is permitted on the provision that completion of a BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma In Aviation Operations course has been completed.

As part of the programme you will also have links with Leeds Bradford and Manchester Airport. This will give you an insight into the aviation industry. To encourage a high standard of professionalism, students will be expected to wear our designated uniform throughout the course and uphold the grooming regulations of the course. Details will be provided at interview.

You will gain the skills required to work in cabin crew or ground operations roles.

As part of the course you will be required to wear a uniform at all times. This uniform is to be purchased by the students and there are strict guidelines on appearance - no facial piercing, visible tattoos etc

How you will be assessed

The course is assessed by a range of methods including assignment work and scenario based role plays. Your progress will be monitored by regular tutorials with your course tutor.

Entry requirements

You must be 16+ and have 5 GCSE's at Grade C (4/5) or equivalent and/or interview. The Aviation industry requires GCSE Grades C or above in English and Maths. An interview would be required to assess your suitability for the course. Please be aware to obtain an airside pass to enable you to work at an airport all aviation organisations will require you to complete a criminal record check. You must also possess a valid passport.

This course allows students to progress directly into employment within the aviation industry. We have strong employer links with many companies including Swissport and Leeds Bradford Yorkshire's Airport, which offer additional progression opportunities.

This course will give you the skills and knowledge to work as a passenger service agent, air cabin Crew, aircraft dispatcher, ramp handling agent, with many more exciting career prospects within the industry. This course also gives you the opportunity to progress on to higher education.
