Students will develop practical skills to perform a range of treatments meeting the specification of the awarding body.
These skills will allow students to work both independently and as a team to gain an awareness and preparation to progress onto level 2 courses.
Students will be assessed through practical examinations, theoretical examinations, assignments, presentations, projects.
This course is delivered at Printworks Campus.
Entry requirements for this course are 3 GCSE qualifications at grade 3 (D) or above.
Students should have a genuine interest in Hairdressing and Beauty therapy and a commitment to complete homework and independent study by agreed deadlines.
On completion of this course, students may progress onto:
- Level 2 Beauty Therapy
- Level 2 Hairdressing
- Level 2 Media Hair and Make Up
- Other appropriate courses within LCC
