This course is for aspiring health and safety professionals wishing to undertake a career as a safety and health practitioner, building upon the knowledge provided by the NEBOSH General Certificate.

It will help the candidate become a highly trained specialist to ensure that their organisation works in an efficient and safe manner, reducing costs by preventing accidents and ill health of employees. 
The NEBOSH course includes implementation of best practice in Health and Safety policies and procedures without incurring the expense by over-reacting to trivial risks.
Candidates are trained in the practical application of knowledge, geared to problem solving in the workplace.

How you will be assessed

Each unit A-C is separately assessed by written examination. In addition there is a workplace-based assignment requiring application of learning across the syllabus Unit D.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however candidates should consider that this is a professional level qualification, equivalent to Level 6. Achievement of the National General Certificate or direct equivalent prior to undertaking the Diploma course is highly recommended.
