GCSE Maths for Adults
Please note: Applications are now open for September 2019
GCSE Maths can be studied part-time over 1 year. GCSE Maths takes place at various sites with start dates from September to January. The exams take place in May and June. Classes are available during the day and in the evening and are 3 hours long. You will study in a friendly and welcoming environment.
When you apply for a maths course at the college, you will be invited to one of our centres for assessment and interview to see which course best suits your needs and abilities. The centre where this takes place is not necessarily where you will study and we will ask you about your preferred campus during the interview. You will also need to do a skills assessment, which is nothing to worry about, we just need to make sure you are enrolling to the correct course. It will also allow us to identify if you have any additional support needs. Please note, the skills assessment and interview can take up to 2 hours so allow plenty of time.
Your strengths and weaknesses will be assessed at the beginning of your course and you will agree an Individual Learning Plan with your teacher who will give you feedback on your progress throughout the course. You can work on topics to meet your individual needs at a pace that suits you. You will be expected to complete study outside the classroom and access to online resources to support your studies will be made available.
