You will learn practical skills and related knowledge within the following areas:
- Hot and cold desserts
- Fermented dough and bread products
- Biscuits, cakes and sponge products
- Pastry products
You will develop specialist professional patisserie and confectionery skills at industry standard allowing employment options within the sector or progression on to a to higher level programme.
You will be continuously assessed throughout the programme on both your practical skills and subject knowledge.
The course will be delivered at the Printworks Campus within a professional patisserie kitchen and bakery area.
You do not require any official qualifications; however, a strong interest in patisserie and confectionery is necessary. A good level of written and spoken English is required.
You will be invited in for a short interview to discuss the programme and if it is right for you.
