The Foundry

The Foundry is our brand new learning space for our Alternative Provision, including pre and post 16 SEMH (social, emotional and mental health), school partnerships, Progression Studies and The Prince’s Trust. Located on Leathley Road, just a stone’s throw away from our Printworks Campus, the building boasts dedicated vocational areas, state-of-the-art technology, a new canteen and communal study space.

The courses offered are planned in collaboration with local high schools and the city’s Specialist Inclusive Learning Centres (SILCs) and designed to give students a different learning environment that they can develop in.

Learners are also able to access vocational facilities at Printworks and participate in work experience and community projects to broaden their experience beyond the campus. This creates opportunities for developing wider skills including enterprise, teambuilding, leadership, communication and other key employability and life skills.
