Julie Dickinson, a Business Support Assistant at Leeds City College, has won silver at the RHS Flower Show in Cheshire.
This will be the talented florist’s second award in the last few months, having scooped gold at the coveted Harrogate Spring Flower Show in May, and represents her fourth accolade overall.
Julie’s exhibition, Metamorphosis: The Life Cycle of a Butterfly, consisted of butterflies, caterpillars and chrysalis set within a wild garden, and was inspired by the show’s large creepy crawlies and bugs theme.
Julie said: “This is my third award at RHS Tatton and I’m overwhelmed to receive a silver medal this year. There were many exhibits in the floral design studio and I was the only candidate competing as a solo exhibitor.
“This gives me great pride in my work as an individual floral designer. I’ve enjoyed every moment of the show and its fantastic atmosphere.”
Julie studied floristry at Leeds City College in 2008 before taking part in competitions across the country.
