The College Careers Service
Want to choose a career? Need help deciding what to study next? Looking for the right qualification? Looking for work? Need help working out your interests, skills and where you want to go? Look no further, our team of professionally qualified Student Advisers are here to help you make informed decisions based on your individual needs, helping you plan the next steps towards your future.
The College provides its own Matrix Accredited Careers Service available to all past, present and intending students. The Careers Service is delivered from the Student Services centres at our main campuses and have Student Advisers working across our Community Sites. We offer a drop-in service at the main sites alongside booked appointments – and can deliver eGuidance through email and telephone. Our services are both confidential and impartial.

The Careers Service also provides a programme of Careers Education activities for all full time students. These activities are delivered in conjunction with curriculum staff at appropriate points during the College year. We also provide workshop activities which are open to all.
For all enrolled students, full and part time, we provide a range of interactive resources on the College Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), Moodle. These include Job Profiles, CV writing tools, Videos and links to external resources. At each campus you will find a range of paper resources like guides, books, job profiles and University and College prospectuses. In addition you will find electronic resources to support your research, including Careers Guidance software, job databases, DVDs, CD-ROMs and internet access.
