Science
Leeds City College is one of the largest centres for 16 -19 science education in the UK.
A qualification in science can lead to a whole host of opportunities in health-related industries, the pharmaceutical industry, land-based industries, environmental work as well as sport and fitness. There are also a wide range of jobs for technicians and scientists in this advancing and expanding sector.
We currently have more than 300 students on science courses at our Park Lane Campus, based in our recently refurbished specialist laboratories.
You will be taught by an expert in the field – subject specialists always teach our science students e.g. if you take a physics module, you will be taught by a physics specialist; when you learn biology, you will have a biologist as a tutor and so on.
Courses combine the fundamentals and perceptions of science, with scientific investigations and practical techniques.
