Teaching and learning combines theoretical and practical work in college, which is enhanced with work experience and placement opportunities with local employers through our links with NHS Trusts and healthcare providers.

Courses are taught by qualified tutors, the majority of whom have previously worked in Health and Social Care, including health visiting, nursing and youth work.
Teaching and learning is further enhanced in our modern well-equipped practical care rooms. Most courses include work experience.
The department has very high levels of achievement and very good progression either to higher level courses within the department, onto employment, or into higher education health & social care courses.
