Access to Higher Education

access-courses

These specialised courses for students over 19 years of age provide an alternative route for those who would like to go on to study in Higher Education but who left school without formal qualifications, such as A Levels.

You will get help in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to prepare you for
moving on.

You do not need any formal qualifications – valuable skills you may have acquired during time employed, undertaking childcare or from other activities are taken into account. You should be motivated, enthusiastic and demonstrate the potential to succeed in your studies.

Many students on Access to HE courses go on to be successful at university, with a large number finding fulfilling new careers and experiencing life-changing opportunities – and so can you!

To gain entry to university (following completion of these courses) students need Maths and English GCSEs. It is advisable, therefore, to consider studying these GCSEs if required alongside an Access course.

Please contact the campus at which you wish to study for more details and how to apply to these courses.
