Access to Higher Education

If you have set your sights on going onto university but are worried you don’t have the relevant qualifications, an Access to Higher Education course could be for you.
Or perhaps you have had a long break from formal education and could benefit from some extra support and guidance.
These specialised courses provide an alternative route for those adults who would like to go on to study in Higher Education but who left school without formal qualifications, such as A Levels.
You will get help in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to prepare you for moving on.
You do not need any formal qualifications – valuable skills you may have acquired during time employed, undertaking childcare or from other activities are taken into account. You should be motivated, enthusiastic and demonstrate the potential to succeed in your studies.
Access courses are designed for you if you’re aged 19+. Many students use these courses as an alternative route into higher education. 100% of last year’s Law Access students (35 people) and Access General / Foundation students (80 people) are now in Higher Education at over 30 different Universities!
You can study pathways in subjects which are relevant to you so that you move in the right direction.
