Centrally located on Clay Pit Lane, Leeds, Hepworth Point is the base for the 6+ month programme. We conduct all our enrolment sessions and some training on site.

- Are you interested in taster courses for a different career or would you like to brush up your existing skills FOR FREE?
Since April 09 Leeds City College has been delivering Work Focused Training for the 6 month+ Unemployed which cover the following areas:
- Sales & Marketing (Park Lane House)
- Retail (The Store, Leeds Shopping Plaza)
- Dementia Care / Nutrition (Hepworth Point)
Entry requirements:
A good standard of English, you should be working at Level 1 or above in Literacy (GCSE Grade D – F).
How to apply:
Visit your local job centre plus office and ask them to refer you to Leeds City College Work Focused Programme, requesting which course you are interested in. The JCP will contact us and arrange an enrolment/induction date.
Induction:
Group inductions normally last 2 hours and you will be able to find out more about the programme and the different courses. Your eligibility will be checked and you will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions before choosing which course you would like to undertake.
Whilst on training:
We will reimburse your travelling expenses (Public Transport only on production of a valid ticket) up to £4 per day whilst on training.
After training:
We will help you with any CV production / job application / job search.
