Welcome

Leeds City College values social and cultural diversity and aims to ensure you will find the college to be an inclusive and welcoming organisation.

Our equality principles are:

  • Celebrating Diversity
  • Challenging Inequality
  • Committed to Safeguarding

These principles recognise and support the equality characteristics set out in the 2010 Equality Act which are:

  • Age
  • Disability
  • Gender reassignment (transgender)
  • Marriage/civil partnership
  • Race
  • Religion or belief
  • Pregnancy/maternity leave
  • Sex
  • Sexual orientation

The college encourages everyone to participate in learning and actively combats harassment and bullying.

The latest Equality & Diversity Information Report is now available on the College website. This annual report looks at all aspects of equality and diversity at Leeds City College and covers the 2012-2013 academic year. It is the College’s legal duty to report its findings each year.
