Team Leeds City College Run for All!
6 July 2010 | news archive
A gathering of around 50 Leeds City College staff took to the streets in hot pink vests and headbands as part of this year’s Jane Tomlinson 10K Run for All on Sunday 4th July.
This ever-growing event drew almost 7,000 runners and a crowd in the tens of thousands, and was started by British running legend Paula Radcliffe MBE, who completed the last 100m of the race with her 3-year-old daughter Isla.
Fastest runner in the college team was Michael Richardson with a chip time of 44m 57s, and fastest female was Georgiana Weatherill in 52m 25s but our congratulations go to all our runners who took part.
The event will be shown this Saturday (10th July) on Channel 5 so have a look for our lot, and if you wish to donate to the team effort you can still do so at www.justgiving.com/LeedsCityCollege
