Inc. Creative Helps Welcome Christmas to Keighley

15 November 2012 | news archive

A creative centre will be a big part of the celebrations when Christmas arrives at Keighley this weekend. Inc. creative will host a day of festive entertainments including an Ab Fab tribute act and a celebrity Christmas gift hunt as part of Keighley’s Christmas lights switch-on and celebrations on Sunday (November 18).

And while being entertained by the many singers and performers taking part in the celebrations across the town centre, people can also browse the inc.creative store in Cavendish Street, which will sell all kinds of creative test trade gifts handmade by jewellers, textile artists, printmakers, ceramicists and designers from all over Yorkshire.

Rob McFarland, inc. creative Manager, said: “We are very excited to be a big part of the celebrations and Christmas lights switch-on in Keighley this weekend.

“We will have a fantastic line-up of artists and look forward to welcoming people into inc.creative to help celebrate the start of the festive season.”

Performers at inc.creative will include boogie piano player Ben “Blues” Waters, gypsy folk punk band Foxes Faux and Keighley-based singer-songwriter Den Miller.

Performers will also be at Keighley’s Central Hall, Royal Arcade, Cavendish Street, Airedale Shopping Centre and the main stage in Church Green, where the lights will officially be switched on at 4pm.

One of three business incubation centres managed by Leeds City College, inc.creative provides artists and designer makers with the support to help them turn their ideas into a viable business by offering a high-street test trading space and access to free business start up support.

inc.creative will be open on Sunday between 11am and 5pm and is normally open Monday-Saturday 09:00-17:00 with late opening planned for the festive season.
