Sample Some College Hospitality at Leeds Loves Food22 May 2012 | news archive
Food lovers in the city will be treated to some Leeds City College’s hospitality this weekend when staff and students showcase their talents as part of the activities on the menu at the Leeds Loves Food Festival.
The annual event which takes place in Millennium Square from Friday (May 25th)-Sunday (May 27th) will see apprentices from the Food Academy at Flannels take centre stage in the festival’s theatre kitchen on Saturday at 12noon.
They will be joined by Enterprise Manager Pete Higginson in creating some of the restaurant’s new spring / summer dishes– Whitby Crab Risotto, followed by Blue Cheese Soufflé and then its signature dessert of Duck Egg & Soldiers to finish.
Colleagues from Hospitality & Catering and Food Manufacture will be selling an array of mouth watering sweet and savoury produce including artisan breads, delicious pastries and confectionery from the College’s stand (No 19) at the neighbouring Yorkshire Food & Drink Show.
