The GROW Training Café (by Leeds City College) launched its new programme of training workshops for smaller businesses on Wednesday 20th July at the iconic Printworks Campus on Hunslet Road.
The launch event was a great success with over 60 small businesses in attendance. The attendees enjoyed a welcome from Joanne Patrickson, Director of Business Development & Employer Engagement who explained “The focus of the new GROW Training Café is to support smaller businesses – to nurture them so they can develop the skills they need to compete and succeed in their market. The workshops developed are ideal for those only have one or two people to train and complement the bespoke in-house training which GROW already offers for larger businesses”.
The businesses then took part in a number of free micro-workshop sessions covering The Art of Selling, Search Engine Marketing and Social Media for Business delivered by industry experts.
The sessions were very well received and attendees had many good things to say!
“Fantastic insight in to the courses offered – I have taken away some great tips on social media. And – lunch was delicious! Thank You”
