Qualifications required to start

Home (British) students wishing to join the course should have a good range of GCSE results and be able to demonstrate at interview an interest in international affairs and a desire to continue their studies in a broad subject-mix. However, enthusiasm and commitment are as important as academic ability.

After the course

The IB is an accessible but demanding course. It is possible to attain a higher UCAS score with the IB as opposed to A Levels and your final results on the IB programme are available a month earlier than A Levels. This gives you the advantage of having your results available for Universities well in advance of A Level students. This qualification is internally recognized, so you can use it to get into a University anywhere in the world or gain employment in other countries.
