About the course
Leeds City College is pleased to offer an exciting full time course in Production Arts. The BTEC National Certificate is equivalent of two full A-Levels. This programme is aimed at learners who love the excitement of theatre or television but do not necessarily want to perform. It is also aimed at learners who are interested in Art & Design.
What and how do you learn?
- Designing costume for performance
- Make up for performers & special effects
- Hairstyling and dressing for performance
- Production for theatre performance
- Wardrobe
- Period costume for stage
- Costume making
This course is also offered as a Production Arts – BTEC National Diploma, which is the equivalent of three full A-Levels and has different entrance requirements.
Qualifications needed to start
16 – 21: Four GCSEs at grade C or above including English or a First Diploma with Merit/Distinction profile in an art or design related subject.
22+ We will interview you to assess your ability to benefit from this course.
Departmental Material Fee: £25.00 – must be paid in full by student at enrolment.
After the course
Higher education or employment in the Performing Arts industry or associated areas of employment. Many transferable skills are developed on the course. Students will be able to progress onto degree or HND courses in related subjects at University or College.
