About the course
Art: You will explore and experiment with a wide range of materials and techniques. You will develop a range of imagery in reponse to the tasks. Academic skills will be developed by researching artists, designers and sculptors.
Photography: You will learn both traditional black & white and digital photography skills in our state of the art photography and print studio. You will also develop your academic skills through exploring the role of contemporary art and design practice.
Printmaking: You will develop your practical skills through drawing and photography and take these images into a variety of print techniques including screen-printing. You will also develop your academic skills through exploring the role of contemporary art and design practice.

Qualifications needed to start
4 GCSEs at grade C or above including English. GCSE in art/design/creative subject or equivalent. (Merit)/BTEC or NCFE certificate in art & design level 2.
Departmental Material Fee: £25.00 – must be paid in full by student at enrolment.
What’s next
After the successful completion of the National Certificate in Art & Design, students would be able to apply for a higher course in Art & Design at Foundation degree and onto degree level.
