About the course
This is a one year course giving you an introduction to all aspects of business. The course is equivalent to 4 GCSE’s at grade C.
What and how do you learn?
During the course you cover four core units:
- Business purposes.
- Business organisations.
- Financial forecasting for business.
- People in organisations.
You also cover optional units such as:
- Business enterprise.
- Working in business teams.
- Business online.
- Customer relations in business.
Qualifications needed to start
A BTEC Foundation Certificate in a related subject, or the equivalent of 1 GCSE at Grade C and 2 GCSEs at Grade D including Maths and English.
What’s next
A BTEC First Diploma is equivalent to 4 GCSEs at Grade C. It qualifies you to apply for more advanced courses and gives you a good preparation for employment. You may progress onto National Award / Certificate in Business Level 3 or into business related careers such as accounting, administration, customer service, finance, IT, personnel or sales.
