About the course

This course is aimed at enthusiastic cooks who want to improve their cooking skills. Delivered over three levels, it will start with the basics and move on to more complex areas.

What and how do you learn?

  • At the start of each course, learners are given an introduction to the training facilities, and learn about food handling and hygiene and knife skills.
  • Over the three levels, learners will a wide range of skills, including handling pastry with confidence, baking bread, filleting fish and much more.

Start dates and session times

This course runs on multiple occasions throughout the year. The start dates and session times are as follows:

  • 28/09/2010 – 18.00-20.00 / Tuesday.
  • 11/01/2011 – 18.00-20.00 / Tuesday.
  • 19/04/2011 – 18.00-20.00 / Tuesday.

Qualifications needed to start

There are no entry requirements and the course is suitable for learners with little cooking experience.
