About the course

This fun course is for parents and carers or people interested in looking after children. It covers basic child development, Early Years Foundation Stage areas of learning and the importance of play.

Please bring an apron.

What will I learn?

  • Areas of child development, make a collage.
  • Importance of play, make play dough, role of adult.
  • Communication and language, making books and stories together.
  • Areas of learning – planning play, Christmas cards.
  • Intellectual development, bring in games, look at internet sites, share ideas.
  • Safety risk and resilience.

How to apply/enrol

Enrol at the Otley Centre Wednesdays and Thursdays during term time.
