About the course
The MC2 is an optional management training course. It must be at least 5 hours in length.
Who should take this course?
- Solicitors who have attended MC1 and want to explore some of the concepts in more detail, especially in relation to time management and training and development reviews.
- Solicitors who want to set up training and development reviews within their firms but are too busy to produce the forms.
- Solicitors who need to be “qualified to supervise” under the Rule 5 management training requirements.
- Any solicitor or fee earner who wants to improve their management skills.
What do I learn?
The course will cover:
- How to manage effectively.
- Change management.
- Training and development reviews and the link to Lexcel.
- Time management.
- Risk management.
About the speakers
Lorraine Richardson is a solicitor and presenter who has significant experience of managing an office and delivering courses to trainees and newly qualified lawyers.
Ray Biglin, an experienced educationist who has provided legal training for a number of years. He has written and delivered management training in a range of professional fields, including education and the Crown Prosecution Service, both in UK and abroad.
